Pace of GeoLibre Development

I recently followed Qiusheng Wu on LinkedIn and amoung their insightful and aspirational work is the recent release of GeoLibre.

I'm genuinely impressed with the current state and pace of development in the GeoLibre project. I don't have a ton of time to the deep evaluation of the software but the current app can be demoed at https://viewer.geolibre.app/.

GeoLibre is: GeoLibre is a lightweight desktop GIS prototype built with Tauri, React, TypeScript, MapLibre GL JS, DuckDB-WASM Spatial, and deck.gl. It focuses on fast local data work, project files, styling, plugins, and a practical path toward cloud-native geospatial workflows.

I think this would be a great project to enable the adoption of duckdb as the source for my own data backend related work. Or exploring the feasibility of using agentic coding assistant to develop a end-to-end environmental reclamation management system that includes spatial and project management.
